Will you still love me when I have nothing?
When my world came crashing down last year, I was left with nothing. No home. No income. No energy to give anything to anyone other than my son who was so ill, the dregs were being distributed to my daughter, husband and dogs.
I had no capacity to work, no home to tend to and make comfortable and cozy for my family, I felt stripped of everything I thought made me worthy of love.
What I embodied on a deeper level during this darkness was this something I have been teaching for years:
You worth isn’t tied to what you can give, achieve, or provide. It’s not measured by productivity or the roles you play. It exists simply because you exist.
That season of my life taught me to let my heart be ripped open and to allow it to remain cracked wide apart—where I was expected to receive without reciprocation.
Even when life leaves you feeling like you have nothing, you are still enough. You are still deserving of love—especially from yourself.
Yesterday I asked my instagram community to let me know a limiting belief they want to let go of
The words “I’m not enough” echoed through my inbox over and over.
If you’re in a season of feeling ‘not enough,’ know this: you are worthy, just as you are. You are so deeply enough that it overflows
